Jeff was born on November 29 1948. His parents were Earl and Marion McCune Kimm. Jeff Grew up in Blairstown and graduated from Benton Community High School in 1968. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1968. In 1970 he attended the California School of art in Oakland California.
Jeff was a talented artist and won many awards while growing up in Blairstown. He loved to create beautiful artwork. Most of his artwork was of nature but he would occasionally agree to paint portraits. He moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and then back to Iowa to take care of his mother during her last years. His love for Hawaii drew him back and lived there the rest of his life.
He is survived by his daughter Andrea LeMont, Grandson Brandon LeMont and several cousins and special family friend, Charlene Wilhelm, who Jeff stayed in contact with for many years.
A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on June 10 at 10:30 by Rev Diane Vorhies and military rites by M J Kirby post 170 Blairstown and Navy Honors

I visited Oahu several times back in the early eighties and late 80's, Geoff was a wonderful friend of mine. We drank a lot of beer back then and I actually stayed at his apartment on my last visit. 86? Best buddy ever RIP my good friend Betty Rallon Canada. Thank you my friend for showing me all the best places in Hawaii to shop etc. My sincere condolences to your family

I was a classmate of Jeff's. I have memories of the summer of Jr. High when Jeff would ride his bike from his home to mine (about 3 blocks) just to visit. I always looked forward to it. It was great to hear that he continued his artistry.
Also memorialize Jeff's serving our country in the Navy.
My thoughts are with his daughter Andrea and grandson Brandon.

I will never forget the many times I took care of Jeff and the Swanson brothers when their parents went to CedRel for dinner. Happy memories.
