Jeffrey John Meszaros ObituaryJeffrey John Meszaros, of Aberdeen, died peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 53. He was the devoted husband of Loretta (Testerman) Meszaros, whom he married on November 25, 2000.
Born on November 14, 1971, in North Tarrytown, New York, Jeff was the son of John Wayne Meszaros of Florida and Sarah (Gearhart) Meszaros of New York. He was also the cherished stepson of Janice Meszaros, who was like a second mother to him and whom he loved deeply.
Jeff attended the United States Military Academy at West Point for two years and later earned his bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego. He was a man of quiet, steady faith, and his relationship with God was personal and deeply rooted. A lifelong member of Pleasant View Church in Cecil County, he lived his beliefs with sincerity and kindness.
He loved going to car shows, riding motorcycles, barbecuing with family, and relaxing with a good movie and a slice of pizza. He was passionate about animals, MR2s, and video games, and found joy in collecting Legos, Playmobil sets, and cars, all of which he hoped to one day share with his future grandchildren. Known for his humility, generosity, and sense of humor, Jeff was the kind of person who would quietly go out of his way to help others without expecting anything in return.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta, and their sons: Daniel, Matthew, Loghan, and Noah. He also leaves behind his siblings: Sean, Heather, Deborah, and Steven. Jeff will be deeply missed by his loyal pets: Finn, Raven, Angel, Toby the bunny, and Tac the cat. He held a special place in his heart for his mother-in-law, Norma, whom he loved and respected as a mother.
A viewing for Jeff will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA 17314. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dr. John McKnight of Reformation Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow the service in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements on behalf of Harkins Funeral Home.
