Jeffrey David "Jeff" Sternburgh

Jeffrey David "Jeff" Sternburgh of Kalamazoo, MI Jeff, age 47, died Monday morning, March 13, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, MI. Jeff, the son of Barbara J. (Kuilema) Skinner, was born in Kalamazoo on July 27, 1969; was a lifetime area resident and a 1987 graduate of Gull Lake High School. He was the owner and operator of his own painting business. Jeff was a soccer fanatic having played in high school and after graduation; was a comic book aficionado; loved to watch all kinds of movies and enjoyed all sports especially football, but his passion in life was his daughter, Kenzie. Surviving is his mom and dad; Barb and Bob Skinner of Kalamazoo; his daughter, Mackenzie Sternburgh of Richland, MI; two sisters, Heidi (James) Laser and Melanie (Scott) Krieg, both of Kalamazoo; three step-siblings, Rhonda (Allen) Breon of Clarksville, MD and twins, Michael Skinner of Portage, MI and Richard Skinner of San Diego, CA; a nephew, Benjamin Krieg of Kalamazoo his father, James R. Sternburgh of Wheaton, IL and his four-legged best friend, Charlie, the Shih Tzu. Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Jeff's life will be held on Saturday, March 25th from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Weatherstone Village Clubhouse, 5210 Mash Arbor Trail, Kalamazoo, MI 49004. Final interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeff's honor may be directed to Mackenzie's Educational Trust Fund, c/o Advia Credit Union in Kalamazoo or the Jim Gilmore, Jr. Community Healing, 1910 Shaffer Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
