Jeffrey Dalton Ostrander, affectionately known as Jeff to his loved ones, passed away peacefully at his home in
Peoria, Arizona, on November 7, 2025. Born on January 30, 1992, at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Phoenix, Arizona, Jeff's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought into the world. A true Arizona native, he spent his life in Arizona.
Jeff grew up in a loving family, cherished by his parents, Lance and Claudia Ostrander. His sister Andrea, along with her husband Brian and their children Anthony, Braiden, and Connor Heath, shared many fond memories with him. His brother Eric, with his wife Sandra Ostrander, also held a special place in Jeff's heart. His extended family, including four aunts, three uncles, and nine cousins all in Arizona, along with another aunt back east will all remember Jeff for his kind spirit.
Jeff put himself thru school and was a proud graduate of UTI. Jeff's professional life was characterized by his unwavering dedication and strong work ethic. He began his career at Wal-Mart, where his commitment and hard work were evident to all who worked alongside him. Later, he joined the team at Herc Rentals, where he continued to demonstrate the same level of dedication and excellence. He would do anything he could do to help a friend in need, even if it meant coming over in the middle of the night to work on your car.
Jeff's passions were many, but he held a special place in his heart for his dogs, which were his constant companions. He loved to build and drive race cars, a hobby that allowed him to combine his love for speed with his mechanical prowess. Along with his dad he built several race cars. His pride and joy though, was his first truck, his bright red Ford Lightning. His passion for veterans was well-known, as he was a very vocal supporter of supporting those who had served. His favorite charities were the
Wounded Warriors Project, and M.A.D.D.
Those who knew Jeff will remember him as a beacon of kindness, and always ready with a joke or sarcastic comment to lighten the mood. His light-hearted nature was a comfort to his friends and family, and his presence was a source of joy and laughter. Jeff's legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we bid farewell to Jeff, we celebrate the life of a man who was truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
