Jeffrey J. Plambeck

Jeffrey John Plambeck, 63, of Pleasant Valley, New York, passed away on March 28, 2026, after a year and a half battle with cancer.

Jeff was born on March 19, 1963, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to John and Linda Plambeck. Jeff was known for his sense of humor, his quick wit, and his incredible talent in carpentry and painting. He could build or fix just about anything and took pride in working with his hands. Over the years, he found joy in trout fishing, hunting, and golfing, hobbies that brought him peace and many good memories. He was a diehard Jets fan, attended many Yankees games, and loved the ocean, sunsets, history, and antiques. Jeff appreciated the simple things in life and the stories behind old things and old places.

Above all, Jeff loved his family. He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Kayla Plambeck; his grandson, Colin Simmons; his mother, Linda Plambeck; his best friend and the mother of his daughter, Ibis Moorhead; his three sisters, Debbie Macdonald, Suzie Riordan and her fiancé Russ Katz, and Christine Turner and her husband Chet Turner, along with many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Plambeck, and his brother-in-law, Mike Macdonald.

A memorial service will be held on April 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York.

Jeff will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His humor, stories, and the things he built with his hands - and the memories he built with the people he loved - will never be forgotten.
