Jeffrey Rabon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 24, 2009.
Jeffrey Allen Rabon Jeffrey Allen Rabon, 47, of Raytown peacefully and unexpectedly entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 24, 2009. Family and friends may visit Friday, May 29, 2009 from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm at The River Christian Fellowship, 6400 Woodson, Raytown, MO with the funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Jeff was born on July 24, 1961 and was "born again" as a young child. He lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He graduated from Tri-City Christian School in 1980. He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield and upon graduation worked as a youth pastor in Lubbock Texas. Jeff worked in the auto body industry and was called upon regularly to fix the vehicles of family and friends. He was a chaplain for Fast Track Ministries. His love for the Lord was known to those who met him. He was always willing to help anyone who needed him and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife of nearly 16 years, Lisa Rabon and two children, Daniel Rabon and Madelyn Rabon. Jeff was a wonderful and loving dad and very proud of his children. He was a loving and faithful husband. He enjoyed life and was blessed to spend his last few hours at his daughter Madelyn's senior baccalaureate celebration. He enjoyed spending time "four-wheeling" with his friend and son, Daniel. He also leaves behind three sisters, Joyce Brown, Jane Metsker and Judy Lawrence along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Jeff Rabon Family Trust Fund at Raytown-Lee's Summit Community Credit Union, 10021 E. 66th Terrace, Raytown, MO. Fond memories and condolences for the family may be left at www.dwnewcomers.com (Arrangements: D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., KCMO 64133, 816-353-1218).
