Jeffrey James Ritsema

Jeffrey James Ritsema, of Paw Paw, Michigan, passed away at the age of 53. He was born on September 17, 1972, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Jeff was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Bridget Ritsema, and a proud and loving father to his three children: Joshua, Vibia, and Kristen. He was the cherished son of Jim Ritsema and Jan Goddard, and a caring brother to Julie Ritsema, Joshua Ritsema, and Russell Lance. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members whose lives were touched by his presence.

Jeff was a man of strong values, deep conviction, and unwavering loyalty. He believed firmly in doing what was right and stood by his family and friends without hesitation, especially in times of need. His strength of character and sense of responsibility defined the way he lived his life.

A man of many talents, Jeff was known for his resourcefulness, determination, and ability to solve problems. He found success in a variety of trades, including construction, roofing, mechanical work, and transportation. No matter the task, he approached his work with skill and dedication.

Outside of his work, Jeff found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. He loved spending time with his family, grilling and smoking meat, practicing archery, and working on and riding motorcycles. He had a passion for building, fixing, and creating, and took pride in everything he did. Jeff also showed extraordinary care and devotion to his mother, whom he supported with love and dedication. He showed his enduring belief that family is more important than anything else by always being there to help his mother and ensure she was cared for.

Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of strength, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 2nd at 4:00 PM at Great Lakes Chapel, 29530 M-43, Paw Paw, MI 49079.
