Jeffrey Lynn Robbins, 62, of Greenfield, IN, passed away on April 27, 2025. He was born in Paducah, KY on July 10, 1962, to his parents Jerry Lynn Robbins and Harriett Browning Robbins.
He graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1981 as the Valedictorian of his class. He went on to graduate from Purdue University with a double major in Management and German in 1985. He spent his senior year of college studying at the University of Munich in Munich, Germany. He was fluent in German and traveled abroad many times.
He graduated from Indiana University Law School and went on to be an attorney. He was very proud of his work as an Immigration Attorney. He served on the Board of Directors for the American Immigration Lawyers Association where he was also a mentor and held several officer positions for the Indiana Chapter. He taught as an instructor of law with Vincennes University and participated in numerous seminar panels on Immigration Law.
He enjoyed many activities throughout his lifetime. He played guitar and banjo at Park Chapel Christian Church. He also loved watching basketball, football and Westerns. He was an avid reader and savored Indian food. He volunteered with Love INC of Greater Hancock County and for the Sister Cities of Greenfield, Inc.
He is survived by his mother, Harriett Robbins; his children, Jennifer Bergman, Justin Robbins, Branden Robbins, Kristin Robbins, Megan Robbins; his brothers, Gregory Robbins, Mark Robbins, Michael Robbins; and his four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Robbins, and his grandparents; Charles and Helen Browning, and Elmer and Bertha Robbins.
A memorial service will be held at Indiana Funeral Care – Indianapolis, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Services will be on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 with visitation from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and the memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest privately in Park Cemetery, Greenfield, IN.
