Jeffrey Savage Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow (TJM) Funeral Homes - Whitesboro on Mar. 18, 2026.
Jeffrey Hugh Savage, 65, of Callisburg, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2026. Born on October 28, 1960, in Cheslea, Massachusetts, Jeff was the son of Joseph and Catherine Savage. From the East Coast to Texas soil, he carried with him a spirit that made anywhere feel like home. Jeff made his living as a commercial truck driver, a job that suited his love of the open road. But if he wasn't behind the wheel of a big rig, you could bet he was on his Harley, chasing the horizon on a cross-country ride. The road wasn't just travel for Jeff - it was freedom, peace, and a place where he felt most alive. When he wasn't riding, he loved spending time with his family and friends and going fishing. More than anything, Jeff will be remembered for his heart. He truly never met a stranger. Whether it was a quick joke, a story, or simply a listening ear, he had a way of making people feel seen. His humor, warmth, and easygoing nature drew people in everywhere he went. Jeff was deeply passionate about helping others, especially through his work with My Brother's House and the Anchor Group of Gainesville. He was devoted to recovery efforts and supporting those walking difficult roads, offering encouragement, understanding, and hope drawn from the heart of someone who genuinely cared. That work wasn't just something he did - it was part of who he was. He leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward: his children, Katie (Russell) Arrington, Christopher Savage, Elizabeth Savage, and Ashley (Dustin) Palmour; and his cherished grandchildren. His legacy lives on not only in his family, but in the many lives he touched through friendship, kindness, and service to others. Jeff is also survived by his siblings: Joseph (Nona) Savage, John Savage, and Jason (Nella) Savage. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, James Savage, and his sister, Sara Elliot. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 17, at 1:00pm at Meador Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Mount Zion Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, and donations may also be made in Jeff's honor to My Brother's House of Gainesville @ mybrothershouse.online. https://www.tributeslides.com/up/17912661057103
