Jeffrey Thomasson, age 61, of Hallock, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 29th, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27th, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston with Pastor Seth Johnson officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday (27th) at the funeral home. Jeffrey Allen Thomasson was born on August 29, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri to parents John and Patricia (Mazanec) Thomasson. He grew up in Mountain, North Dakota and graduated from Edinburgh High School.
Jeff lived and worked in several areas including Fargo, Warroad, Cavalier and, for the past 15 plus years, in Hallock, Minnesota. Most recently, he had worked at American Crystal Sugar.
Jeff was known as a jack-of-all-trades. He liked cars (especially the Chevrolet Camaro), enjoyed the outdoors and was a huge Vikings fan. He made friends everywhere he went and was loved by many.
Survivors include two daughters, Nicole (Tyler) Manecke of Fosston, and Kayla Thomasson of Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Addisyn, Harlee and Landon; one sister, Barb (Bradley) Byron of Minneapolis, MN; and one brother, Doug Thomasson of Warroad, MN. Nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Thomasson, Jr.; and one niece, Ashley Harder.
