Sayles Funeral HomeJeffrey Arthur Vance, 60, of North Danville, passed away on February 7, 2026, after a long illness.
Jeffrey was born on March 19, 1965, in Northfield, VT to Richard & Marjorie Ann (Kirker) Vance. He was raised in North Danville and attended school at the Living Arts Center in St. Johnsbury.
Jeffrey did not let his disability stop him from enjoying everything life had to offer. He was an avid basketball fan and enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics. His love for basketball brought him to the court, where he competed and won medals in the free throw competitions at the Special Olympics. He was extremely tidy and organized. He loved everything to do with The Peanuts, especially Snoopy.
The most important thing to Jeffrey was family. He went rabbit hunting and enjoyed car rides with his father, Dick. He loved his mother, Ann, and missed her dearly after her passing in 2023. He had a great support system around him, including family and those that became like family. Everyone who knew him will miss his laugh, his infectious smile, and beautiful blue eyes that lit up a room.
Jeffrey is survived by his father, Richard “Dick” Vance; sisters Karen (Gary) Poll and Kelly (J.P.) Sinclair; nieces & nephews Caity (Cici) Palmer, Brianna (Brandt) O’Hara, Garrett Sinclair, Gabriel Poll, and Jordan Sinclair; aunts & uncles Robert (Mary Jane) Vance, Roy (Linda) Vance, Ross Vance, Roland (Lori) Vance, Jane (Kevin) Braley, Russell (Debbie) Vance, Sharon (Gary) Daniell, Charles (Coral) Kirker, and Susan Kirker; as well as his special caregivers Chantelle & Kirby Blackurn, Sue Therrien, Dottie, and Marlisa Cheney. He was predeceased by his mother; Marjorie “Ann” Vance; brother Dickie Vance; niece Carissa Palmer; and grandparents Laine (Eleanor) Vance, John Kirker and Luella Kirker.
A graveside service will be held at Danville Green Cemetery on May 22, 2026 at 1130am, all are welcome. A gathering will follow.
