Jemilly Pruett Obituary
Published by Legacy on Dec. 9, 2025.
Jemilly Dawn Pruett, age 32, of Dewey Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 4, 2025, leaving behind a glow that will never truly fade. Born to Jacquelin LeBlaux and Timothy Barnes on April 22,1993, Jemilly moved through life with a brightness that felt almost otherworldly, and was so full of light, that she seemed to carry her own sunrise with her.
At the center of her life was her family. The place where her love rooted and grew wild. She adored her husband Brandon, her partner in every single joy and hardship. They married on March 29, 2015, and began building their home full of laughter and the kind of everyday magic that comes from truly loving and being loved. Her children and grandson were the rhythm of her heart, and she celebrated their triumphs, stood strong beside them in their struggles, and believed in them with a fierce, unwavering devotion. Her stepsons, boys she immediately embraced as her own, were folded into that same boundless love. She wove all of her children together with tenderness and pride, seeing each of them as a blessing she had been trusted to guide, and her exuberance will live on through them eternally.
Jemilly's love also stretched deeply into the family she came from. She cared for her father with a devotion that spoke of both gratitude and fierce protectiveness. She watched over her brother and sister with the same gentleness and strength she offered the world–showing up, checking in, offering comfort, and holding them close in the ways only she could. Their hearts are forever changed by her kindness, and the space she leaves behind is one they will feel always. Her care extended naturally to her nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. They adored her, and the gift of her love will stay with them throughout their lives.
Jemillly loved without measure. She noticed the quiet hurts, the unspoken needs, and she stepped forward with open hands and an open heart. Helping others wasn't something she did; it was who she was. Her strength was unbreakable, and her compassion deep enough to hold whole worlds. To her family, she was a safe place. To her friends, she was a steady light. To all who knew her, she was proof that kindness can be powerful beyond measure.
Though her time here was heartbreakingly brief, the imprint she leaves is vast: a legacy of love, generosity, courage, and connection. Her light remains, shining in her family, her friends, and in every heart she ever lifted.
She is survived by her father Timothy, husband Brandon and their three children, Oscar, Naomi, and Harper, stepsons Jayden, Zachary, and Dakotah, grandson Leon, sister Nanette, brother Chad, sister-in-law Kim, cousins, beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of treasured friends that will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Jacquelin, favorite uncle Danny Barnes, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Details for her Celebration of Life will be added as soon as they are finalized.
