Jennie Littler Rippy

Jennie Littler Rippy, age 78, of Cedar Hill, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday, September 13th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with her pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bear Johnson, Craig Russell, Jeff Mantlo, Shane Rippy, Josh Myatt, Jaime Sanginez, Bartolo Real, and Curtis Harris serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Friday, and again from 10-11am Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Rippy was born October 16, 1946, in Murfreesboro, to the late Denzil Proffitt, and the late Virginia Carolyn Littler Proffitt. She was a member of Christ Community Apostolic Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rippy was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jimmy Rippy, Sr.; sister, Lynn Evans; and a brother, James "Bubba" Adams. She is survived by her son, Jimmy (Amanda) Rippy, Jr.; daughters, Brenda (Dale) Blackburn, Pamela ("Bear") Johnson, and Carolyn (Craig) Russell; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
