Jennie A. Shaw, 73, of Gibsonville, North Carolina passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 4, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Jennie was married to Harvey Shaw for over 35 years, who preceded her in death in September of 2016.

She is survived by her children; Jaime Cook, Joseph Shaw, Jennifer Perez, and Terri Shaw; grandchildren, Christian, Austin, Ayden, Elijah, Kaylin, Liam, and Hudson.

Jennie was known as a hero to her children and her grandchildren were her world. She loved all of them so very much. She worked as a project manager for Guilford County for over 30 years. After retiring from the county, she worked as a facility manager at Azalea Circle Senior Center.

Jennie, also known as "Mama Jennie" by extended family and children of the community, fostered and cared for so many children in Alamance County. She was loved by so many who's lives she touched and changed.

Her children would like to thank Randall Shaw, his wife Patricia Shaw, and Chelsea Frye for all of their love and care for Jennie over the past 8 years.

Mama Jennie was so loved by many and she will be truly missed.
