On October 7, 2025, Jennifer E. Brent passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kentucky, her family moved to Oklahoma where she attended Plainview High School. The family eventually moved to Maryland where Jennifer and her family have resided in Odenton for the past 25 years.
Jennifer was the devoted wife of 32 years to her husband Jeffrey, whom she first met in line at Memorial Stadium while waiting to buy tickets to an Orioles game – a chance encounter that turned into a lifetime of love. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless memories filled with laughter, loyalty, and joy.
More than anything, Jennifer cherished being a mother to her three daughters: Kristen Griffin, Stephanie Brent, and Erin Brent. Her greatest pride and happiness came from watching them grow, guiding them with patience, kindness, and an unwavering love that will continue to surround them always. She also adored her two grandchildren, Nyomi and Meadow Griffin, who brought her endless joy and who will always carry her love in their hearts. She is survived by her caring brothers, Wesley Cassity (Texas) and Christopher "Mac" Cassity ( Glenwood, MD). Jennifer was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Linda Cassity, and her brother Stephen E. Cassity.
