Jennifer Fitzgerald Obituary
10/01/1964 - 12/29/2025
Our angel Jennifer (Jennie) Zona Fitzgerald was called to God on December 29th . Those blessed to have known
her will miss her greatly. Born to Doris and Frank Zona in 1964, Jennie enjoyed a happy childhood
growing up with her large family in San Mateo Park. She attended Mercy High School in Burlingame,
and after graduating from California State University, Hayward, began her long career managing a child-
care program, a role perfectly suited her great affection for children.
In 1998, she married the love of her life, Vincent Fitzgerald. They shared countless adventures and were
blessed with her other great love, their son Joseph. The three of them were inseparable.
They found a home in San Carlos where they were surrounded by wonderful families and friends. The
neighborhood is known for its over-the-top celebrations, finding any excuse to get together. Her friends
and neighbors were a source great joy, happiness, and support.
Fun-loving, outgoing, and lighthearted, Jennie lived a full life, and our lives were made fuller for having
known her.
Jennie is survived by her husband Vincent, her son Joseph, and five brothers and sisters.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 8th 7:00 PM, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Burlingame.
Her funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 9th 11:00 AM, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in
Redwood City, with a reception to follow.

Dear Jennie, I knew Jennie since I was a very young lady, 16. She was such a sweet soul and always had a smile on her face. That era of Jennie, Alison, Dave, Karen , was the best. She was a very unique and special woman, and will be remembered always by me. Rest well.
