Jennifer Rose Rutherford passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 63, in the loving arms of her husband and comfortability at home. Born on August 8, 1960, in St. Louis, MO. Jennifer’s life was filled with many friends, family, and much love which was evident with the visits, cards, and support as she fought the terrible brain cancer that took her way too young.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Harlod Rose of Cadiz, KY.
Survived by her loving family, husband, Robin C. Rutherford of Fairview, TN, son Zack (Chelsa) Frey of Nashville, TN, granddaughter, Elliston Frey, mother, Jean Rose of Cadiz, KY, brother, Michael Rose, of Cadiz, KY, sister Julie (Eric) Reidmiller of Murfreesboro, TN, niece, Grace Reidmiller and numerous nephews and cousins.
Jennifer loved playing in the dirt. Her many gardens and flowers were not only a hobby, but a passion. Many nights with her flashlight in hand, Rob would have to remind her of the time. Jen would often dry her flowers and make arrangements for vase’s or arrange them on canvas to make framed art. She also loved photography, mostly of nature.
Jennifer had a love for poetry. She could interpret and read poetry with the meaning and feelings the author intended. She was an excellent writer who maintained a blog during her walk-through cancer. Her writings told stories of her life experiences and were tied into her love of sharing the words of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with others. It was a passion to share her faith and has inspired many by the words that flowed out of her, always led by the Holy Spirit.
Jennifer was a legal assistant/paralegal for Bone McAllester Norton of Nashville before her diagnoses in 2018. She has received much support and love from the many co-workers and friends that she loved to work next to.
Jennifer will be remembered for the passion and fire that burned inside of her when she believed in a cause; for her flowers; for the excellence that she exemplified in the legal world; for her giving large heart; for the love of family; and mostly for her love of God’s word!
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: National Brain Tumor Society.
There will be visitation Tuesday December 12, 2023 from 4-8pm and Wednesday from 1230pm until the Celebration of Life at 130 pm all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home located at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221
