Jennifer Tray Hoppis- Tobin, 46, unexpectedly passed away on October 6, 2021, in San Clemente, California. She was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Gary W. Hoppis and Jane Bentley Clark. She grew up in Del City with her siblings Sheila Hoppis-Brown, Tony Hoppis, and Catherine Clark. In 1994, Jennifer graduated from Del City High School.
Jennifer loved working in marketing and did for many years. Over the most recent years she worked to build her family-owned business with the utmost pride. She lived vicariously through her family and was a dedicated mother to Zane. She loved her nieces and nephews and supported them in their many endeavors. Jennifer loved to travel and preferred to be at any location with water. She loved swimming, the ocean, the lake, the wind and the smell of nature.
Jennifer was known as being the light of the room. Her smile was contagious, she was the selfie queen, and could always be count on to make everyone laugh. She genuinely enjoyed listening to music. It was her way of tuning out the world and focusing on her work. She loved to paint and do glass work and was a person of many talents. Jennifer had an amazing imagination which really brightened when she was with children. She could play with them for hours and keep them entertained. She truly did have a gift with children.
Jennifer is survived by her son Zane Tobin; former spouse Douglas Tobin; father Gary W. Hoppis; mother Jane Bentley Clark and stepfather T. Cole Clark; siblings Sheila Hoppis-Brown, Tony Hoppis, and Catherine Clark; nieces Erin Hollingsworth, Mariah Davis, and Olivia Clark; nephews Blake (Kerstin) Hoppis, Luke Hoppis, and Zander Lloyd; great niece Raylee Jo Hoppis; great nephew Joshua Carl Owen Maguire; brothers-in-law Dave Lloyd and Alex Brown; numerous friends; and her dog Bella.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Joseph Miller Bentley (Daddy Joe); grandmother Ester Elizabeth Coohn Bentley (MeMe); grandfather John Hoppis (Papa); and MeMaw Velma Russell Hoppis.
