I learned of Jenni´s passing today. She was someone that always giving of her time, her love, her patience and her great big heart. Jenni was the Director at Homestead where my mom spent her final year on earth. Jenni held mom, me, my father close as we navigated the horrible disease of Alzheimer´s. I always wanted to take her out to an amazing dinner and show her appreciation for being an amazing person. Now she´s in heaven dancing with my mom. Mike, her children and her family, she spoke of you often and was so proud. She´s watching over all of us. I´m so sorry for your loss of one heck of a woman.

I met Jenni in October 2023, when I was in the process of finding a great facility for my husband as his dementia became too much for me to handle. She and I were on the same page about everything concerning his care. I was so blessed to have been warmly welcomed and understood, and his 11 month final journey under Jenni's care couldn't have been better. And when he finally passed nearly a year later, her comforting warmth enfolded me and all our family. Thank you Jenni, I'll never forget your kindness.

Jenni was there for me, my family and my parents as we navigated the Dementia Journey. We could not have done it without her. Wonderful and caring person. Such a sad day.

My first memory of Jenni was meeting her as administrator of Homestead. I was starting my first full time position after being a stay at home mom for many years and was having some self doubt and anxiety and became emotional in her office. She dropped everything, closed the door and spoke to me with strength, kindness and reassurance. She was also the first person from my work to come and show support for my personal passion (music) and I remember her walking into my performance and I was so excited to see her I ran over and hugged her, microphone and all! Not sure who will see/read this but I wanted to tell a few people of the way Jenni spoke of you, although I am sure you are well aware of the love she had in her heart!

1) Her boys- you were her world.

I think that is enough said but truly not a day went by she didn´t speak of you. You were truly her greatest love and accomplishment in life. Her face lit up every time your names were mentioned. Which brings me to Mike...

2) She talked about the two of you as true "partners" and was always sharing fun things you did together, like the car shows and even home improvement projects. She always got a cute smile on her face when she spoke of you, as if she still had a "crush" on you after all these years. I always felt it was sweet and very genuine.

3) I apologize I can´t remember your name- but her best friend. She spoke of matching tattoos and of you being her "sister friend." She was looking forward to a future girl´s trip with you and said the two of you would be there for one another through thick and thin always. I remember hoping my friends would speak of me the way she spoke of you.

I can´t imagine the void you, her parents, siblings, other family and friends are feeling. I only knew Jenni for 5 months but she had already shown me more kindness and caring than some people I´ve known for years. My heart goes out to you all,
Sarah Hill
