Jenny Lee Armstrong, 71, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, following a brief illness. Born in Ithaca, NY, on November 5, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Henry Armstrong and Eleanor (Nielsen) Armstrong Brink. A lifelong resident of Lansing, Jenny was a 1973 graduate of Lansing High School.
Jenny dedicated most of her life to her work. For 46 years, she worked as a hospital aide at Cayuga Medical Center, retiring in 2020. In her free time, she loved to shop and attend yard sales. She also loved her blue truck.
Jenny is survived by her daughter, Brenda Schaap (Tyler); siblings, Elton Armstrong, Ernest Armstrong (Helen), William Armstrong (Darlene) and Tammy Brink; grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen, Rylie Allen, Teagen Allen and Elliott Schaap; best friend, Lucy Cooper; canine companion, Chase; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Bonnie and Connie Armstrong.
Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Lansing Funeral Home. Interment will be in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY.
