Jenny Fontanille, a longtime resident of Harvey, passed away peacefully at her home on December 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Jenny was a woman with an immense heart and was a passionate volunteer, giving her time and energy to God’s House and the United Cajun Navy. Her commitment to helping those in need left a lasting impact on her community, reflecting her generous spirit and "neighbor-helping-neighbor" philosophy. Above all else, Jenny cherished the time spent with her close-knit family, who were the center of her world.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jenny and Ralph Dunne; her husband, Juan Uribe; and her brother, Michael Dunne.
Jenny’s legacy lives on through her three children, Kyle (Lauren), Bailey (Brittany), Gabby, and her stepson, Christopher. She was the proud grandmother of Grayson and Caroline and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Baby Dunne.
She is also survived by her siblings, Margie, Loretta, Josie, Vera, and Ralph, along with a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jenny’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
