Jenny Pullen

Jenny Pullen, 82, of Kountze, Texas died on September 2, 2025, after a short illness. Jenny was born November 2, 1942, in Beaumont, Texas to Estus A. "Buddy" and Bonnie Burns.

Jenny grew up in Beaumont, Texas and graduated from French High School in 1961. She then attended Jefferson Davis Hospital Nursing School in Houston, Texas graduating in 1964. After

graduation she married her husband, George Pullen, and moved to Arlington, Texas, where they lived until they retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia "Pat" Brent and brother- in- law Raymond Edwards. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Pullen, daughter Amy Beasley and her husband Kevin of Austin. Grandchildren Owen Beasley of Austin and Sloane Beasley of Cedar Park. Sister Becky Edwards of Lumberton, brother Doug Burns and his wife Mary of Montgomery, sister Connie Riles and her partner Fred Erikson of Fort Worth, and

Brother-in-law Raymond Brent of Beaumont along with many nieces and nephews.

Jenny worked as an occupational health nurse for over 30 years in the DFW area. She was also a participant in the original cohort for the Nurses' Health Study and continued providing information until her death.

After retirement Jenny moved to Jamaica Beach and then to Kountze, Texas. During that time, she was a member of the Jamaica Janes and volunteered at the McFaddin-Ward House in

Beaumont, Texas.

Jenny continued to help others even after her death by donating her body to UT McGovern Medical School in Houston. A celebration of life will be held in Lumberton, TX on September 27th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, or charity of your choice in Jenny's honor.
