Jenny Lynn Wiggs

Jenny Lynn Wiggs, 71, of Indianapolis IN, passed away on January 18, 2016, at Franciscan St. Francis Health care facility. She was born on January 8, 1945, in North Liberty, Indiana, to Allen Kane and Neva (Gard) Kane. She later met and married Robert Frank Wiggs, who preceded her in death on December 4, 1992. After receiving her high school diploma at North Liberty High School, Jenny was employed as a teacher's assistant at Warren Township Schools. There she enjoyed many years of working with and supporting the elementary students until her retirement. Jenny was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, where she also volunteered. Jenny liked working on home improvement projects, sewing, and was also an avid gardener, who enjoyed being outside and watching the birds in the feeders she kept for them. And while she had many joys in life, she found the most enjoyment in the time she spent with her family and with the many students under her care. Jenny is survived by her children, son, Dan Wiggs of Indianapolis; son, Kelly (Laura) Wiggs of Evansville; daughter, Caroline Clark of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Garrett, Gavin, Garner, Rhiannon, Dilynn, and Isaac; six brothers and sisters; as well as Amanda Wiggs of Indianapolis. In addition to her husband and parents, Jenny is preceded in death by one son, Lewis Wiggs. Visitation for Jenny will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, from 3:00-7:00 PM at Hendryx Mortuary Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM, following a visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Memorial contributions may be made in Jenny's behalf to the Zion United Church of Christ. Arrangements are being handled by Hendryx Mortuaries.
