Jerald Erving Morey, known affectionately as Jerry, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023, at his residence. Born on January 11, 1943, in Brunswick, Georgia to Henry Alex and Arcennie Williams Morey, Jerry led a remarkable life immersed in the captivating world of showbusiness. His career took him far and wide, entertaining audiences around the globe with his extraordinary talents and boundless energy.
From a young age, it was evident that Jerry possessed a natural flair for showmanship as he was born into Showbusiness. With an infectious smile and an infectious laugh, he effortlessly captured the hearts of those around him. Throughout his life, he embraced his love for all things showbusiness, working with carnivals, circuses, and any endeavor related to the industry.
While Jerry's mastery of entertainment brought joy to countless individuals worldwide, he found true happiness when surrounded by his beloved family. His love for them knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent together. Their unwavering support fueled his creativity and gave him strength throughout his journey.
In addition to his passion for showbusiness and devotion to family, Jerry had a few cherished hobbies and interests. He adored Elvis Presley's music and often found solace in the legendary singer's tunes. It was not uncommon to see Jerry enthusiastically swaying and singing along to Elvis's iconic songs.
Among his proudest accomplishments were becoming a member of the prestigious International Independent Showmans Association in Gibsonton, Florida. This esteemed honor reflected not only Jerry's dedication to his craft but also his commitment to upholding the traditions of the mesmerizing world of showbusiness. He was also an esteemed member of the Alee Shrine Club, both in Savannah, Georgia, and Gibsonton, Florida. Jerry's was also a member of the Scottish Rites in Savannah, Georgia further showcasing his passion for the arts and his desire to contribute to its preservation.
Jerry's incredible talent and unyielding spirit were recognized on an international scale. He received the distinct honor of being bestowed as an honorary member of the Australia Showman Club, a testament to his impact on showbusiness around the world. Additionally, he was bestowed honorary Kentucky Colonel.
Jerry's legacy will live on through the memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known him. His infectious laughter and playful nature brought happiness and light into countless lives.

Grandchildren, Katyonna Jones Peko (Donald), Christian Rodriquez, Jordan Morey, Elizabeth Porter Kennedy (Hunter), Liam Porter
Great Granddaughter, Eliza Peko
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Pigott Branch Church Cemetery.
