Jeremy Jay Slade, age 43, was born April 21, 1981, in St. George, Utah to Jay and Sheri Slade. Jeremy passed away at home October 28, 2024 in Washington, Utah.
Jeremy enjoyed cheering his son Kelton on as he played soccer. If anyone was ready to go fishing Jeremy was there with tackle and pole in hand. He loved the outdoors and the smell of pine trees and listening to the wind blow through the forest. He could quote you chapter and verse of the local ancient inhabitants of southern Utah. He truly enjoyed picking up small sharp pointed rocks that were once attached to a straight stick as well as interpreting rock art scratched or chipped in stone.
Jeremy was an accomplished screen printer and was employed by Power Image of St. George.
While attending classes at Dixie State he was a member of the National Technical SkillsUSA club on campus. He competed in state level completion's in SkillsUSA winning the gold medal in Screen Printing Demonstrating, the silver medal in Fly Tying Demonstration, and the bronze medal for Graphic Communications. He also served as Vice President of the college chapter and was also a Graphic Communications student of the year while at Dixie State.
Jeremy was married to Kelli Bo Abbott in his early adulthood, and they had a son, Sabastian. They were divorced. He later married Tracy Gale, and they were separated at the time of his death.
He loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was working on his advancement to the Melchizedek Priesthood and temple endowments.
Jeremy's surviving relatives are his two sons: Sabastian Slade of Hurricane, Utah and Kelton Slade of Washington, Utah; parents, Jay and Sheri Slade of Washington, Utah; siblings: Todd Slade (DeAnn) of Murray, Utah, Nikki Slade of St. George, Utah, Zach Slade (Kaylene) of Washington, Utah, and Griffin Slade, of St. George, Utah.
Services will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., with a viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Stonehedge Ward Chapel, (east of the Red Cliffs Temple) at 450 West 3650 South, Washington, Utah.
