It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Jeremy "Craig" Smith, who left this world peacefully on December 19, 2025, at the age of 50.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Craig lived a life defined by his loving heart, servant spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family. He found joy in the simple and profound moments - casting a line on a quiet lake, exploring the outdoors through hunting, traveling to new places, cruising the open seas, diving beneath the waves on SCUBA adventures, and cherishing every moment spent with those he loved most.
Craig's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and the importance of family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Candy Smith; father, William Thomas Smith (Brenda); brother, Glennis Dale Smith (Julie); stepsister, Kristen Wilson (Jon) and stepsister, Kelli North (Eric); his son, Ryan Smith; daughter, Ally Blume (Eric); Stepdaughter, Morgan Ossenfort (Matthew); Stepson, Chance Carter (Darian); stepdaughters, Kallie and Hailey Law; and his four beloved grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Sue Buck, whose memory he carried close to his heart.
A private family memorial for Jeremy will be held at a later date. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his love, laughter, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
