Jeri Lynn "Ozzy" Protheroe

Jeri Lynn Protheroe, 68 of Richwood, died peacefully Friday July 25, 2025 at the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus at 4:20 am.
She was born in Columbus to the late Marlin Blaine Speakman and Betty Jane (Davis) Gray. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Gray and siblings, Jeffrey Todd Speakman, Brian Scott Speakman, Robert Eric Tobert and William Mark Tobert.
Jeri had worked at Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Marysville and also at the Delaware Area Humane Society, this was a labor of love as she was a true animal lover. She was a big Buckeye fan and loved to travel, she and Tom had been to all 48 of the lower states on motorcycle trips. Jeri celebrated the 4/20 holiday all year long.
She had a laugh and sense of humor that would fill the room.
Surviving is her husband, William "Tom" Protheroe, they were married December 28, 2005 in Richwood, they were affectionately known as "Tom & Jeri".
Also surviving are her children, Danille (Anthony Hoberty) of Lakeview and Joseph Speakman of Findlay.

Grandchildren, Tyler Blosser, Caleb (Zelda Titus) Blosser, Samson (Anjel) Bates, Hunter Speakman, Kailin Speakman and Kinsley Speakman. Her grandkids had a special pet name of their grandma "Ozzy"

Services celebrating her life will be held Sunday August 10, 2025 at 4 pm.at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastor Joseph Rhea will officiate. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 2 pm at the funeral home in Richwood. Burial will take place in the Claibourne Cemetery at a later date.
