Jeri Elyse Tackett, 71, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at her home. She was born on August 5, 1954, in International Falls, Minnesota, to Arden and Lavera Ann (Bennett) Espe.
Jeri pursued her education with determination, earning an associate's degree in computer science from Ivy Tech State College in Terra Haute, Indiana in 1998 and she also received certification in upholstery in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Her creativity and resourcefulness were evident in every aspect of her life. Whether she was painting garage door murals or crafting her own tea, chapstick, and ointments, Jeri approached each project with imagination and dedication.
A gifted artisan, Jeri created beautiful jewelry pieces and custom cakes that reflected her artistic spirit. Her love for gardening was equally strong-she nurtured vibrant flowers and bountiful vegetables with a green thumb and great care. Animals held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in showering her pets with affection.
Above all else, Jeri's greatest joy came from her family. She devoted herself to teaching her children essential life skills and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Always eager to be involved, she embraced every opportunity to participate in school functions and field trips-even riding a hoverboard alongside Chloe.
Jeri leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering devotion. Her presence enriched the lives of those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Jeri's memory are her daughters, Brandy Jefferis of Unionville, Tennessee, Meagan Hollaway of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Jennifer Moore of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her son, Tony Tackett of Fort Gibson; extended family; and many friends.
Jeri's life will be celebrated 1PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Citizens Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Richard Christian officiating.
The family of Jeri Elyse (Espe) Tackett has entrusted her cremation, service, and burial to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson. 918-478-2555. Online condolences may be left for the Tackett family at clifforddgarrettfamilyfh.com
