Jerome Brantner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral Home – Milwaukee from Nov. 23 to Nov. 24, 2022.
Brantner, Jerome F. "Jerry"
Born to Eternal Life on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Shirley for 66 years. Loving dad of RoseMarie (the late Wayne) Mueller, our Angel Sharon Kay, Kay, and Mary. Dear grandpa of Brian (Megan) Mueller, Kristine (Kyle) Kison, Jennifer (Matt) Jentink, Kevin Mueller (Taylor Kalmus), and Kari Oettinger (Jake Daniels). Cherished great grandpa of Hannah Jentink, Kyle Jentink, Alan Mueller, Cory Kison, and Lyla Kison. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Elsie Brantner, his siblings, Stella, Pauline, Bernice, Adolph "Shorty", Edith, and Don.

Jerry loved his family, in his younger years he enjoyed volunteering with the Girl Scouts of America, he was a crossing guard and could be found behind the bar serving up a cold beer. He volunteered at the church festival, dressing up as a clown and handing out candy to the kids. Jerry loved gardening, traveling to all 50 states and many foreign countries with Shirley, on a Friday or Saturday night you might find them at the Panther Arena cheering on the Milwaukee Admirals, but he was also an avid Packer, Brewers, and Milwaukee Bucks fan. He enjoyed Sunday afternoons at the Fireside Theater and weeknights watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Shake of the day, Arby's roast beef sandwiches, angel food cake, chocolate, a cold beer, his Father's Day t-shirt, a mean game of Yahtzee, bowling, rummage sales, telling jokes, opening presents, and family/yard parties were some of his favorite things. Jerry's key chain collection is something to be admired. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation to be held on Sunday November 27th, 2022, at the FUNERAL HOME from 3-7pm. Private family interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
