Jerome "Rome" Garcia, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and wonderful friend went to be with the lord and joined his mother and sisters in eternal rest on December 3, 2024.
Jerome was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. Growing up he excelled in his favorite sports, baseball and football, making all-stars numerous times in baseball. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and would watch all of their games every Sunday. Jerome loved the city where he was raised and held numerous jobs in the restaurant industry. He loved cooking at the places he worked and also for his family. His amazing cooking will be missed by his entire family. He was a hard working man and passed this on to his children and grand children.
Jerome loved spending his free time drawing and making art. His natural artistic abilities gave way to one of his passions, tattooing. He was an amazing tattoo artist and loved giving tattoos that people could afford. Jerome could have worked at any tattoo shop but he liked being mobile and meeting people where they could be comfortable. He had his own unique style that will live on through other people as they display his art work on their bodies.
Jerome is survived by his children Dominic, Laurah, D'Angelo and Irisa Garcia, Jada Hernandez; grand children Jayden Warner, Elijah, Izayah and Messiah Garcia; father Barry Garcia; brothers James Garcia and Darryus Chavez; nephew Antonio Castaneda, nieces Imani and Amaiya Castaneda; grandmother Catherine Shorty; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He is proceeded in death by his mother Leonore Garcia and sisters Laurah Chavez and Veronica Garcia. Jerome was loved by all who knew him and his sense of humor will be deeply missed.
