MUNROE FALLS - Jerome (Jerry) J. Strainer, 85, passed away February 19, 2026.
Born in Cleveland, he was a resident of Munroe Falls since 1966, and a U.S. Navy veteran. Jerry had been employed with Furbay Electric Supply Company, as a salesman, retiring in 2008.
Jerry enjoyed playing a round of golf and getting to know just about everyone he met whether it be at a formal gathering or just going to the grocery store.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Strainer, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane Strainer; sons, Jason (Melissa) Strainer, Jon (Christine) Strainer, Joel (Cathy) Strainer, and Jeff Hinman, as well as his grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, Lauren, Gage, and Wyatt.
Private graveside services have taken place. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
