Jerome A. Johnson was born on September 1, 1964 in San Antonio, TX to Billie (John) and Janet Johnson. Jerome, who resided in Willis, Michigan, passed away on March 25, 2026 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Sheryl Johnson for 12 years. Loving father of Jennifer and Michael Johnson. Dear brother of Johnathan, Jimmy, Janine, and Judy. Dearest grandfather of Jared. Jerome was preceded in death by his father Billie (John) Johnson. Also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Jerome will be deeply missed by all who knew him-a devoted husband, a loyal friend, and a man whose humor could light up any room. Known for his goofy charm and infectious laugh, Jerome had a rare gift for making friends wherever he went. He approached life with curiosity and courage, always eager to try new things and dedicate himself fully to every pursuit, whether it was scuba diving, golf, or the sport of shooting. Jerome's hardworking spirit and generous heart left a lasting mark on those around him. He lived life with joy, laughter, and a readiness to embrace every moment-a friend to all, and a presence that will forever be remembered.

A beloved member of Gilead Church, Jerome faithfully served on the security team and was an active part of the praise team. He especially loved to sing, sharing his joy and spirit with the congregation in a way that touched many hearts. His hardworking nature, generous spirit, and deep sense of community left a lasting impact on everyone around him.

Memorial Visitation Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Gilead Church, 23156 King Rd, Brownstown Township, MI 48183. Memorial Service to follow at 6:30 p.m. at Gilead Church.
