Jerome Jones

Jerome Lee Jones transitioned from this earthly life on January 16, 2026, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his mother Virgina M. Jones, father Thomas Gordon, Sr., brother Larry Jones, Grandfather Robert J. Michie, Sr., and niece Tiffany Michie.

He is survived by five sisters; Brenda Jones, Jacqueline Berkley (Warren), Benita Payne, Nadine Jones, and Dorothy Gordon. Six brothers; John Michie (Ruth), Thomas Jones (Teresa), Darryl Jones, Lavon Jones (Joyce), Calvin Michie (Melvina), and Thomas Gordon, Jr. Special friends; Darrick Anderson, Mary Anderson, Carolyn Slaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

He was a dedicated employee of University of Virginia for 20 years. He gave his life to Christ at an early age.

Jerome was a fun, loving, and happy person. He enjoyed life and he enjoyed it abundantly. He was a die-hard Cowboys fan. He loved the dance floor and lit it up with his moves. He was everyone's dance partner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Upscale Event Center, 1226 Harris Street, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
