Jerome "Jerry" Lynch

Jerome Lynch (age 65) passed suddenly on March 9, 2026, in the arms of his loving wife, JoAnne, surrounded by nature. Born on August 11, 1960, and grew up on Naamans Road in Wilmington, DE, among his 8 siblings and parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Lynch. He graduated from Concord High School in 1978 and went on to have a career in engineering construction & design. Jerome and JoAnne married on October 28th, 1989, and later welcomed three beautiful children.

Jerome, affectionately known as Jerry, is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne Lynch (Zeroka), his children Madeline, Charlotte and Colin. His siblings Jay, Christopher (DeAnn), Elizabeth (Kevin), MaryKay (Gary), Jody (Elizabeth), Margie (Ron), Robert (Kathleen), his twin brother Jeffrey, and his father-in-law, Mike Zeroka.

Jerome spent his time across the country and internationally, hiking, biking, paddling, and with a curiosity to learn about people's life stories, but always treasured family time above all. Jerome loved to be surrounded by family and friends while listening to bluegrass music and enjoying Belgian beer.

Visitation will be held at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., followed by a memorial service beginning at 12:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Delaware State Parks, in honor of Jerome's life, spirit and passion to be outdoors.
