Jerome (Jerry) Darryll Windle went peacefully to his heavenly home on October 24, 2025. He was 86 years old.
Jerry Windle was born in Roseburg, Oregon on April 3,1939, to Jacob C. and Ruth M. Windle and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He graduated from high school in Bridgeport, Washington. After graduation he moved to Noxon to work in construction on the Noxon Rapids Dam. He met Shirley Windle (Franck), his wife-to-be, in Noxon. He also attended Prairie Bible College.
Jerry married Shirley on June 1, 1957, and together they had four children, Martin (Jeanette) Windle, Cynthia (Dan) Smith (Windle), Douglas (Reneé) Windle, and Lawrence (Ruth) Windle. They had sixteen grandchildren and forty-three great grandchildren. Jerry and Shirley were married for sixty-seven years.
Jerry, an ordained minister, served as a missionary, pastor, and college alumni representative for over fifty years in Bolivia, South America; Hot Springs, Montana; Fort Shaw, Montana; and Trout Creek, Montana; sharing his faith with many. "If we meet and you forget me, you have lost nothing, but if you meet Jesus and forget Him, you have lost everything!" was on his business card and summed up his life. After retirement, Jerry and Shirley volunteered winters at Rio Grande Bible Ministries where Jerry served as an electrician and unofficial pastor to the volunteers and Shirley served as a seamstress.
Jerry is survived by his four children Martin, Cynthia, Douglas, and Lawrence; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and two sisters (Barbara and Jayne).
Jerry's Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., November 1, 2025, at Cabinet Mountain Bible Church, Trout Creek, MT. Pastor Cody Page will be officiating. Jerry's remains will be interred at the family plot in White Pine Cemetery in a private family service.
