Jerome 'Jerry' Zolobkowski
July 31, 1975 - September 9, 2025
Jerry Zolobkowski, 50, of Woodstock, CT, died on September 9, 2025, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of the late Amanda Jillian Crowley-Zolobkowski and proud father of Lila Kay and Sophie Claire. Born in Bethpage, New York, he was the son of Keith Zolobkowski and Sally (Rosen) Keough and brother to Jami (Zolobkowski) Ashley.
After getting his master's degree in education, Jerry taught at various schools in New York and finally at Woodstock Academy in Connecticut where he taught science. Jerry went on to work as a real estate agent and developer in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Jerry's dream was to flip houses, and through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, he made that dream a reality. He earned a reputation as a respected and accomplished agent and developer.
When Jerry wasn't teaching or flipping houses, he enjoyed discovering local breweries, hiking the trails of New England with his beloved dogs, Lucy and Cooper, and cheering on the New York Giants, Boston Red Sox, and New York Mets. Jerry loved going to concerts, especially the Grateful Dead, with his late wife, Amanda, family, and friends. Jerry had a zest for adventure, which led him to travel to places around the world like Australia and New Zealand in college, then Costa Rica with Amanda for their honeymoon. In 2024, they took a final family trip to Paris.
With his unmistakable sense of humor, undeniable cooking talent, and natural role as a lifelong teacher, Jerry made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Jerry had a remarkable way of educating us all-invited or not. His enthusiasm made even the simplest topics fascinating and full of excitement.
Jerry is survived by his two daughters, Lila and Sophie; parents, Sally, Tim, Keith, and Annette; sister, Jami; brothers-in-law, Gerry and Ben; sister-in-law, Maren; nephews, Tyler and Cameron; nieces, Juliana and Izzy; parents-in-law, Donna, Chad, Dave, and Sue; and many cousins, aunts & uncles.
