Jeronimo Diaz, 71, of Lubbock/Spur, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. He was born on December 13, 1953 in Mexico to the late Geronimo Diaz Nieto and Virginia (Escobar) Diaz. Jeronimo met Consuelo Castillo in California, and they married in 1976 and began their family together. He was a hardworking man; you could always depend on him. After serving in the U.S. Army for 18 years, he worked many jobs that allowed him to serve. He was dedicated to working and being the provider for his family. Jeronimo was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, especially his children. He learned to laugh and enjoy the small moments in life with his family. Jeronimo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Consuelo; children, Geronimo Diaz, and wife, Angie, Veronica Diaz, and husband, Damian Lopez, Angelica Diaz and husband, Amiel Alcozer, and Alejandro Diaz, and wife Tonya; siblings, Ana, Yolanda, Ignacio, Beatrice, Lupe, Patricia, Francisco, Hilda, Sandra, Damian, Vicky, and Claudia; twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchild.

Jeronimo was preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo and Virginia Diaz; siblings, Rosa, Queta, and Jorge.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
