Jerri Adkins, 73, of Mountain View, Wyoming passed away on August 25th, 2023, at her home with family by her side.
Geraldine Kaye Adkins (Jerri) was born on September 6th, 1949, in Evanston, Wyoming to Ole A. and Mary Virginia (Watson) Jacobsen.
Jerri graduated from Mountain View High School, Mountain View, Wyoming.
Jerri married Ted Adkins in Evanston, WY on December 21st, 1974, and they spent their early years working in Evanston. In 1980, they found the perfect place in Mountain View to make their home, enjoy life together, and raise their daughter, Kim. Jerri was employed by and retired from Uinta County Road and Bridge as secretary and roller equipment operator for paving projects.
Jerri enjoyed reading, hunting, camping, boating, fishing, quilting, crafting, sewing, watching rodeos, dancing with Ted, and spending time with her family and friends.
Jerri is a member of the Fort Bridger American Legion Auxiliary Unit #36 for 42 continuous years. She served as Department of Wyoming Auxiliary President in 1994-1995 and held many other offices, committees, and chairmanships at the Unit, District, and State levels. She is also a member of the Robertson Willow Creek Homemaker's Club and St. Helen's Catholic Church.
Jerri is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Ted, sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Robert Michaels, stepsons Ted Keen and Todd Keen as well as many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
She is survived by sister Karen (Garie) Henry; brother Jack (Christie) Jacobsen; daughter Kim (Kyle) Gray; stepson Tom Keen; grandsons Zachary Gray, JT Gray, Seth (Aubrey) Gray; granddaughters Miranda Keen, Laken Dobell, and Haley Mahan; great granddaughters Adeline Joy Gray and Leila Jane Gray and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and amazing friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, WY at 11:00 am followed by a light luncheon/celebration of life at the American Legion Post 36 also in Ft. Bridger, WY.
