Jerrie Baker-Lee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels - Missouri on Mar. 5, 2026.
Jerrie Lynn Baker-Lynn was born on December 11, 1954 to Delores Ferguson in Kansas City, Missouri . Her mother, adoptive mother, Dorothy Baker, three brothers, Michael Martin, Sr., Walter Waylon Ferguson and Todd Williams, sister, Hortense Spencer, grandson, Kareem Lee, Jr., aunt, Laura Brown and cousin, Reba Brown all preceded her in death.

Jerrie was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools. After high school she furthered her education at Penn Valley Community College where she obtained her LPN certificate . She was employed in various hospitals throughout the city. She accepted at an early age and was a member of the Catholic faith for many years.. She just recently rededicated her life to Christ and had attended Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ. She was presently attending Calvary Chapel Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Harold Molden until her health began to fail.

Jerrie Lynn as she was affectionately known was a loving mother, sister and aunt. She was considered and called the most important person in the family. She was always trying to hold it down for all of her family. She was and is one of the best examples at being a loving mother .I pray her soul is with our Heavenly Father.

Jerrie Lynn was united in marriage to Joe Lee, the marriage was later dissolved. She departed this life on Monday, February 9, 2026 at her home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Kareem Lee, Sr.; daughter, Kelia Lee;five brothers, Clifton Martin, John Turner (Janice), Paul Turner and Darryl Ferguson; one sister, Piccola Williams;grandchildren, Kleshae Lee and Karee Lee, great grandchildren, Karon Lee, Kai'lin Lee and Ka'Shanti Kelly-Lee; nephew, Rod Williams, Sr., a host cousins other relatives and friends.
