It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Hayden Bailey, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Jerry was born on January 29, 1945, in Oxnard, California, to Tressie Mae (Ward) and Aerick Bailey. When he was just six months old, his family moved to Texas, where he was raised in Fort Worth. Though born in California, Jerry always proudly considered himself a Texan, a place that shaped his character and remained home throughout his life.
Jerry lived a life marked by devotion, courage, and integrity. He was known for his steady presence, strong values, and loyalty to those he loved. One of his greatest joys was the game of golf. An avid golfer, Jerry spent 33 years as a dedicated member of Shady Valley Country Club, where he built lasting friendships and enjoyed countless days on the course.
In 1983, Jerry married the love of his life, Sharyn, and together they shared many years of companionship and love.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sharyn; his children, Justin and Jill; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tressie Mae and Aerick Bailey, and his three brothers.
Jerry Hayden Bailey will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the love he shared.
