In addition to his professional accomplishments, he served honorably as a military police officer in the Army, showcasing his commitment to service and duty.

Family was at the heart of Jerry’s existence. He cherished his wife, Deborah Glenn Barbour, with whom he shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Those who knew Jerry would agree that he was a good-hearted man, who found immense joy in spending time at the beach and the mountains. He loved being around children, embodying a spirit of kindness and fun that endeared him to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Everette Darrell Barbour and Joyce Weatherspoon Barbour, brothers, Wayne Barbour and Dennis Barbour whose memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
