Jerry Deen Bennett, 66, of Morristown, Arizona went to be with the Lord April 20, 2024, while surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryl Bennett; sister Bonny (Bob) Fraser of Midland, MI, brother Ken (Gaila) Bennett of Midland, MI, his children Jason (Lori) Bennett of Midland, MI, Shari Bennett of MI, Autumn (Mike) Smith of Shepard, MI, Terry Crawley Jr. of Weidman, MI, and Jennifer West of AZ. Twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas & Betty Bennett of MI and AZ.
Jerry was born October 10, 1957, in Mount Pleasant, MI. Jerry spent the first half of his life raising a family and working as a steel fabricator in Michigan before retiring to beautiful Arizona with his wife.
Jerry loved nature and wildlife, gardening, touring the desert on his golf cart with his wife, tinkering in his 'Man Cave', home improvement projects, creative fabrication with wood/steel, target shooting, fishing, hunting, cooking and watching Saturday morning cartoons with his four-legged children Gizzy, Pocket and Fred (RIP)!
Jerry was great at passing on his wisdom especially for everyday tasks. His sarcastic sense of humor and unique character will be greatly missed. No service is planned at this time, however Jerry encouraged a celebration of life to bring family together when the time is right. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
