Jerry Arthur Bolling, 86, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully January 10, 2012, at Pittsboro Christian Village. He was born March 11, 1925 in Bristol, Virginia. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Abe Sr. and Mildred Bolling, 8 siblings, and wife, Mildred Gentry Bolling. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. In 1954 he moved his family from Bristol, VA to Raleigh to work at Westinghouse Meter Plant, from which he and Mildred both retired. Funeral Service: 4:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2012 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 to 3:45 PM, Friday, January 13, 2012 prior to the service, and other times at the home of Sandra and Chuck Jones, 5640 Riley Hill Road, Wendell, NC 27591. Graveside Entombment: 9:30 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, 7600 ACC Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27617 with military honors.
