Jerry Clayton Braddock

Braddock – Jerry Clayton Braddock, age 84, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 25, 1939, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Braddock. Jerry was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Shortly after graduating, Jerry enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country. In 1962 Jerry was honorably discharged and returned home to Jacksonville, Florida. Jerry met and later married his best friend and the love of his life, Alice Rose Buck, and they relocated to Tampa, Florida. Jerry and Alice resided in Tampa most of their married life, until they moved in 2002 to Glen St. Mary and made it their forever home. Jerry served a long career as an Industrial Mechanic for Southeastern Metals. When Jerry was not working, he enjoyed flying his model airplanes, racing his model boats, and most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rose Buck Braddock; son, Daryle Braddock; and parents.
Jerry is survived by his son, Donald Braddock of Perry, FL; brother-in-law, James Edward Strickland of Glen St. Mary, FL; five grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Jerry will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Live Oak Cemetery in Callahan, Florida. The family will receive friend's half an hour prior to the service.
