Mr. Brockman was born on October 26, 1953, in Hampton, VA and was a son of the late Samuel Wayne Brockman, Sr. and Macy Arline (Butler) Brockman. Jerry worked as a self-employed painting contractor for many years. He loved being with his family, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved playing music, especially guitar.
Jerry is survived by his children, Cody Brockman and wife, Amanda, of Virginia Beach, Samuel Wayne Brockman, III and wife, Grace, of Columbia, SC, David Brockman and wife, Katrina, of Harrisonburg, Jerry Wayne Brockman, Jr., of Timberville, and Jordan Brockman, of Timberville; six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Services will be held privately and at a later date.
