Jerry Dean Buno

Jerry Dean Buno passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 16, 2018 at the age of 86 years old.

Born in Bowring, Oklahoma on December 21, 1931 to Max and Blanche Buno. Jerry lived for family time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His childhood was spent on the farm in Bowring, Oklahoma. Jerry played basketball and lettered in high school. Track was another sport he enjoyed. Broad jump and hurdles. He graduated from Bowring High in 1949. While in Bowring he met the love of his life Norma Dean Juby and they were married on January 26, 1952.

Jerry worked in construction in Oklahoma as a service oiler progressing to operator of heavy equipment and then Supervision. During his construction career he had the opportunity to move to Nebraska, Kansas, Canada, Montana, Mississippi, Louisiana, Washington and then on to working in Alaska for 10 plus years.

Jerry took a break from construction in 1979 to 1982. He leased a service station and shop for light and heavy duty equipment. He returned to Alaska and worked at Barrow until 1986. Jerry then worked with Max (son) for his small construction company driving dump truck. This kept him busy while being retired.

Jerry was a family man. He was happy when all the family was gathering for barbeques or playing cards together. Jerry was a kind, honest, soft hearted person who anyone could go to for help or advice. Some of his favorite hobbies were spending time with grandchildren's activities and their sports. He loved professional sports on T.V.. Vacations with the entire family were the best time! Hawaii and Crescent bar in Eastern, Washington were favorites.

He is survived by his Son Jerry Dean Buno II and wife Sheri, daughter Karen Jacquelin Buno Hansen and husband Clint, and preceded in death by his wife Norma Dean Buno of 64 years marriage and son William Max Buno, sister Marion Jacqueline and sister Estella Annette of Oklahoma.

Jerry is survived by his sister Linda Lou Stephenson and brother William Eri Buno.

11 Grand Children: Kyle Clinton Hansen (wife Jesika), Kellen Matthew Hansen (wife Madison), Colby Dean Hansen, Cheyene Kadean Hansen, Jerry Dean Buno III (wife Laura), Brett Richard Buno (wife-Liz), Kera Ann Buno- Farrell(husband David),Danielle Nicole Buno-Heilman (husband Greg), Denean Estelle Buno, Shauna Lynn Buno-Smith, and Sherman Max Buno.

14 Great Grandchildren: Breann, Emma, Jeydan, Jennah, Jaimen, Torren, Jaxson, Brooklynn, Aimee, Eli, Piper, Asher, Lincoln, and Carys and many beloved nieces and nephews in Washington, Oklahoma, and Texas.

He was a wonderful husband, father, and granddad. His memory will be held in our hearts forever.
