Jerry J. Champagne

“We are saddened to announce that Jerry J. Champagne, 67, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, has left this world to travel on to a better place.

 Visitation will be on Saturday October 5, 2024 at St. Mary’s Community Center from 11:00 am until service time. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 pm with cremation to follow.

 Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years; Diane Thibodaux Champagne, his children; Heather Champagne Martin (Michael Martin, Jr.) and Jeremy J. Champagne (Adrian P. Breaux, Jr.), grandchildren; Zoe and Zakary Martin, brother; Nobby Champagne, sisters; Joyce Duet, Bonnie Hohensee, Peggy Brown, Ruby Plaisance and Irene Adams.

 Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; Alcide and Juliette Boudreaux Champagne, brother; Bobby Champagne, sisters; Gloria Adams and Helen Bahm.

 Jerry worked for Lafourche Boating for 21 years and retired from G & F Sporting Goods. He was an avid LSU fan, loved tailgating, and cherished spending time with his friends, family and grandchildren. He was always eager to put a smile on someones face. 

 Above all, Jerry was a kind hearted man. He would do anything to help a friend or family member in need and was known for bringing joy to others with his wonderful sense of humor.”
