Jerry was a very special postman in Blytheville , Ar. While my husband was in Vietnam , he brought my letters from him to the grocery store where I worked so I could get them in the early morning. Once I didn´t receive mail for several days and he would just open the door and throw the mail on a shopping card and leave. He told my mom that he couldn´t bear to see the look on my face when I didn´t get a letter! Finally, he came in smiling from ear to ear because he had a stack of letters that had just "backed up " somehow! I think he was as happy as me to see those letters! I will never forget that kindness !! My heart felt condolences to his family !
