This man was like a father to me during my formative years. It saddens me that ive not reconnected after such an influence in my early life.

I knew Jerry from my association with Dr. Ken Brackney, who was my pastor and one of the founders of Hampton Roads Biblical College (later Faith Bible College), was an awesome man of god, and Jerry's father-in-law. I remember Jerry being very involved and passionate concerning HRBC and ministry in general. I am an attorney and also knew Jerry through my reliance on him to answer difficult real estate and church law questions that few could answer. Jerry would always give me the courtesy of his time to see if he could assist, especially if it could help me out of a jam, or further a righteous cause. I can recall several times that I thought I would shy away from some issues that Jerry would handle, not because they were profitable, but because he felt that he was called to help because he believed in the cause, even if it looked like a lot of work, with little financial compensation. I respected Jerry as a very competent attorney, and appreciated him more as an attorney and friend who loved Jesus.
