Jerry Estep, age 81, of Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at his residence. He was born on January 11, 1944, the son of the late Wilburn and Rosey Mullins Estep. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
Before his retirement, Jerry was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Estep, by one son, Jerry Allen (Tami) Estep, by two daughters, Leigh (David) Dotson and Geneva Hamilton, by four grandchildren, Jacob Estep, Mickey Daniel Hamilton, Paxton Dotson and Preston Dotson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him and loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, after 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jackie Justice, Morgan Chapman and Bruce Sawyers officiating. Burial will follow in the RH Ratliff Cemetery at Shelbiana.
